Slangy Sabados: Droppin' Some Truth Bombs
I don't know about you, but I frequently fantasizing about telling somebody off with just the right words and leaving them speechless. Probably because I never find the right words until 3 hours later. Noel, on the other hand, is a professional. In fact, he's so good at dropping truth bombs that people usually come back wanting more, despite having been insulted.
Se quedó chato - "He was left flat."
Chato is an adjective used to describe someone with a flat nose like a pug (or, more attractively, like Noel). In this case, it means someone who has "hit the wall" of truth, leaving them flat–faced.
So next time you tell someone how it is, you can brag about it afterwards to your Mexican friends: "Se quedó chato, wey!"
