We’d like to thank all of the wonderful supporters of our crowdfunding campaign. We did not meet our goal, but as it was a keep-what-you-raise scheme, every contribution helped.

There were some radical changes rocking the world during our cookbook crowdfunding campaign, and we still don’t have a clear view of their long-term outcomes. El Refugio Mezcaleria, like every restaurant, has taken a walloping from the Covid Crisis. As such, there’s been a change of plans with the funds from our crowdfunding campaign. We had hoped to use a large portion of the money to do publicity events in the US over the summer, but that now looks highly unlikely. Instead, we’ve decided to squirrel away that money and use it to reopen in a new location next season. In the chance we do get to visit the US in July, we’ll do our best to work in an event or two—so stay tuned!
